Research Center

A culture of research is of paramount importance to the future strategic development of JSS Academy of Technical Education Noida. Academic staff at JSS Academy of Technical Education Noida is highly motivated to engage in research activity that informs teaching and benefits students. JSS Academy of Technical Education Noida is committed to develop a thriving community of researchers that impacts upon both higher education and the wider society. Sponsored research projects implemented by the faculty and supported by Government and research organizations have helped the Institute in setting up state of the art Laboratory facilities and equipment necessary for carrying out high quality research.
The Departments of Electronics Engineering, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics have been recognized as a Research centre under Mahamaya Technical University, Uttar Pradesh effective from July 2013.JSS Academy of Technical Education Noida is affiliated to Dr. A. P. J Abdul Kalam Technical University. AKTU was reconstituted as "Gautam Buddha Technical University, Lucknow" and "Mahamaya Technical University, Noida" on 1st May 2010 through amendment of U.P. Govt. vide act no. 05 of 2010, Subsequently U.P. Government again combined the Gautam Buddha Technical University and Mahamaya Technical University with effect from 1st Nov. 2013 vide amendment act 21st of 2013 and reconstituted A.K.T.U. Lucknow. The Department of Mechanical Engineering have been designated as the University Research Centre from April 2016 under Dr. A. P. J Abdul Kalam Technical University.
The research centers at JSSATEN focus on finding solutions to research problems leading to a significant societal and economic impact. Through its extensive network of skilled research faculty, graduate students and collaborators, the Institute is working in advance research areas, creating unique research training opportunities and increasing its competitiveness. The Office of the Dean-Research facilitates and coordinate all research and development activities of the Institute. The communication and coordination work, compilation and dissemination of scientific and technical information, registration for patent, etc. are attended by this Office.

Research is an important area for development at JSS Academy of Technical Education Noida. A research environment has been created wherein academic staffs and research scholars are encouraged to engage with research as a process, drawing support from the Research Office aiming for excellence in research output.

    • Research Committee meet regularly to look into the progress of research in the Institute and the guidelines. All faculties and students are encouraged to take up research and the necessary process is channelized.

    • To create and promote a culture of research among the faculty and staff to achieve the vision and missions of JSS Academy of Technical Education Noida (JSSATEN).
    • To ensure value, integrity and ethics in research.
    • To publish research material in sci/Scopus/WoS indexed journals and also to facilitate the presentation of the research work through academic events such as workshops/seminars/conferences.
    • To identify and inform researchers about various research proposal call for by different funding agencies.
    • To act as a facilitator by providing professional guidance and technical support for submission of research proposals to various funding agencies, submission and publication of patents and establishing consultancy with industry partners.
    • To promote interdisciplinary research, provide guidance and support for preparing and undertaking joint research projects by establishing collaboration with external experts and publish the research findings in sci/Scopus/WoS indexed journal.
    • To promote collaborations with International and national academic institutions of higher learning and promote linkage with Industry.

    The following facilities are extended by the institution:
    ● Faculty members are encouraged to involve UG/PG student’s research projects
    ● Departments have established facilities with necessary software’s like Cadence, MATLAB, Optimizer, etc. and has established Centre of Excellence with modern facilities for faculty members and students to do research in various domains.
    ● There shall be provision for the following categories of candidates for admission to Ph.D. Programs

    ● Full-Time: Candidates who shall pursue Ph.D. program on full time basis
    ● Part-Time: In-service candidates having a minimum professional experience of one year after his/her PG Degree are eligible to pursue Ph.D. program on a part time basis. (Refer AKTU guidelines for more details)

    The candidates shall possess a Master’s Degree in Engineering / Technology from any Recognised University, with an eligible marks/ minimum CGPA as per AKTU.
